A short synopsis to fill you in. An original Calilfornian born in Taft, Ca. April 18, 1925 makes me a Senior at 81. Before I was 6 months old, I was taken to Havana, Cuba where my father was the Superintendant of the Standard Oil Co. refinery. Attended Spanish speaking school through the 3rd grade (my second language is Spanish) returning to the States in the early 1930's. I Grew up in Houston, Texas during the depression years of the 30's. (You can read about it in my Blog which is found on the page "The CDR's Cabin" on my main site http://www.spaceshipdewaj.com./ Joined the Navy prior to WWII, survived the war, and retired in 1960. I have in excess of 10,000 hours of flight time holding a Commercial Pilots License with Multi Engine Rating Land, & Single Engine Sea. A Flight Instructors Rating, and a Ground Instructors Rating. I was hired by North American Aviation after my Navy retirement, to work with the Strategic Air Command as an In-flight Inertial Navigation Instructor on B52's. Upon winning the Apollo contract, I was called back in-house to act as an In-House Test Pilot on the Apollo Project. I was the Responsible Engineer for Re-entry Studies, Roundezvous and Docking, among many others, and acquired many hours of simulation flying of the Lunar Mission. I retired from Aero Space Engineering in 1992. I have worked as a Registered Representatinve with the National Association Of Security Dealers selling stocks and bonds. Registered and qualifiled to teach K-12 subject matters in the Alameda Unified School District where I am still teaching as a substitute teacher. I hold an Advanced Amateur Radio License with call letters (W6OCR), and a General Radio Telephone Operators License Isuued by the FCC. I have a Masters Degree In Business Administration and I hold an Instructors Credential to teach Business Courses in the California Community College system.
